Disadvantages
With positives comes negitives, luckly there are not many disadvantages, but you do need to understand the disadvantages making up your mind:
- Technical Issues - Cloud storage can be accessed anywhere and anytimes at all, but there are times when the system can have serious dysfuntional issues. Even the best CLoud Storage Providers could run into some trouble, even though they might have high standards of maintenance. You will also require good internet connectivity to be logged onto the server at all time. Invariably you may be stick incase of network and connectivity problems.
- Security - Another major issue is security. What you should know is you will be surrendering all company/personal's sensitive information to a third-party cloud provider. You and/or you company could potentially be at great risk. Make sure the provider you are using is reliable and will keep your information secure.
- Prone to attack - Storing information in a cloud could make you and/or your company vulnerable to external hack attacks and threats. Nothing on the internet is Completely secure, thus there i always the lurking possibility of stealth of sensitive data.
